Prince Edward Island National Park

• Implemented an Acadian forest restoration plan through planting and protecting over 40,000 trees and conducting continual surveying to ensure species survival• Surveyed populations of endangered species and species of interest and recorded data to be added to a national database• Carried-out identification and location of 8 invasive species within the Prince Edward Island National Park and conducted control methods covering several hectares• Monitored piping plover populations throughout the National Park including locating nesting sites, continual monitoring of egg incubation and hatchlings, and aiding in banding processes.• Educated the public on the importance of conservation and restoration within the National Park to encourage future protection and preservation of the ecosystems
