Bachelor of Engineering and Society 2019, Valedictorian, McMaster UniversityA sociable, well-rounded individual, and recent Chemical Engineering and Society graduate of McMaster University. Specialized in Polymer Materials and Manufacturing. My program encouraged the exploration of culture, history and social control of technology, as well as the core chemical engineering fundamentals. Along with my major, I completed a minor in psychology. My interests lie in renewable energy, process control, optimization, polymer processing and innovation.My consistent involvement in the McMaster community has encouraged me to spearhead individual projects over my university career. I have also taken it upon myself to give presentations to high school science classes about Chemical Engineering. My extracurricular involvement has developed my interdisciplinary, communicative and organizational skills, as well as my public speaking. Although these activities are heavily team oriented, I also value opportunities where I can work independently. I’m constantly looking for ways to keep my technical mindset fresh and my qualifications competitive. I believe that every experience is an opportunity for growth. I also believe in living a healthy and active lifestyle to help keep my mental state fresh and attentive.I am currently work as a Process Specialist at ChemE Engineering helping provide high quality solutions in the pharmaceutical space. I plan on acquiring my Professional Engineering designation when I am able. I hope to continue putting my knowledge and current skill set to the test, and aim for continuous personal and professional development.
