Key responsibilities include financial reporting, cash management, Statutory Reporting and providing financial insights to the General Manger and Board of Directors, contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation.Previously employed as the Financial Controller of Australasian Mobile Telecommunications (AMT) Group, a mobile communications retail company with over 90 stores throughout Australia. Responsible for a team whose functions include Financial Accounting, Management Accounts, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Inventory Reporting, Revenue Accounting and Cash flow management.Prior to moving to Australia, I was employed as a Finance Manager at Sainsbury’s Supermarkets Ltd, a large retail company in the UK (over 900 stores and annual turnover of £22 billion). Having gained over 12 years’ valuable experience with Sainsbury’s, a career highlight was being awarded the prestigious role of opening up their first sourcing office in Bangladesh which formed part of the Sainsbury’s Asia Ltd group.In Bangladesh, solely responsible for ensuring all the office’s finance operations & reporting were executed timely and appropriately. Reporting directly to the head of finance for Sainsbury’s Asia Limited in Hong Kong, the role required an adaptable, diverse and pioneering attitude to working in Bangladesh whilst ensuring that Sainsbury’s high standards, values and integrity were always upheld by all its Bangladesh representatives.Personal qualities include the ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation, invaluable financial management experience of Australian, Asian and European markets, an aptitude for defining processes, excellent eye for detail and personable leadership skills.
