Hi! I'm Matthew and I make podcasts.For a long time I was the Supervising Producer of Gimlet Media’s acclaimed hip hop anthology series, Mogul. The show was lauded by the The New Yorker as"essential listening", Time Magazine dubbed it "the best of the best", and NPR called the show "the first major foray into narrative storytelling for a hip-hop podcast”. I made three seasons of Mogul and was the show’s core creative force, helping to develop Mogul’s aesthetic and unique perspective. After Mogul, I became the Supervising Producer for the true-crime anthology series, Conviction. During this time I reported on heists, kidnaps, murders, and more. I also created and developed the popular soccer podcast, We Came to Win. Nowadays I make the hit weekly music show One Song for Hartbeat (ranked by The Atlantic as one of the 50 best shows of 2023), and I'm developing a true-crime project with Wondery. I'm also the founder of Stramash Media, a production company specializing in high-touch, sound-rich podcasts.
