Cartamundi Ireland, Automatic playing card machine setter• Newly introduced cell to Cartamundi Ireland,The purpose of which was to manufacture playing cards in house, I was fortunate to be chosen to be the first setter to join the team to help implement this cell.• Machine installation: The automatic playing card production line was a raw machine imported from China which we then set about improving by getting it up to European standards which included CE and safety accreditation.• Implementation and set up of Keyence Vision system.• SOP and change over guide creation.• PLC troubleshooting.• Photoelectric sensor set up.• Full change-over of machine, which included timing cam components, timing machine drive chains, setting slitting knives, gapping rollers, vision system set up, hydraulic press, cartridge heaters and set up of cello and glassine wrapping system.• To set up slitting knives accurately by using a dial indicator and vernier calliper’s..• Adjusting pneumatic air cylinders for best performance.• Maintaining Machine and equipment to company standards.• The ordering and dispatching of materials through SAP.• Creating SOP for machine change over and safety related procedures.

Cartamundi Ireland, RBM machine setter, Duties include• Full control and operation of a Rigid Box Machine, machine consisted of quad strayer, paper feed, gluer, conveyer deck, photoelectric eye spotter and box wrapper to produce a finished product.(S&S and Emmeci)• Changeover, adjustments, Set up, maintenance and general repairs of the machine on a daily/ weekly/ annually• Fanning paper, Breaking board, loading and unloading of materials• Mixing adhesive to the correct viscosity• To run the machine efficiently and safely, while keeping up with the product order and production count• Manage material orders and be responsible for running the correct language and product code• To be responsible for Machine Changeovers and to complete them as efficiently as possible as to avoid machine downtime and material waste.• Use of computer terminal to track, plan, control and report potential safety/ Machine issues • The general inspection of product that are produced on the machine for defects and abnormalities • Working with the line supervisor to make sure all production runs are completed, this communication is vital to staying ahead and completing orders in an efficient manner while being conscious not to overrun to save on waste. • To keep the area clean and tidy and to be proactive with health and safety in the workplace• To complete and log safety checks
