About Matthew Wills
After working 2-3 jobs throughout college, I finished with a bachelor's degree from Kennesaw State University in Political Science and went into the medical recruitment industry. I was responsible for negotiating agreements for locum tenens and permanent placements, the highest of which was a $36, 000 placement fee at a family practice. This role served as my introduction to working with doctors professionally and began my experience in territory sales.After interviewing to work at our corporate office, I was given management of 7 accounts that required teamwork with each recruiting station throughout the country. I was recognized as the most disciplined and dependable account manager which led to me being given more accounts than anyone else on a team of 8 other account managers. But I came to a realization that I had more determination than this job allowed. At the end of 2015, I left this role to develop my B2C skills by increasing revenue at Sandy Springs Gun Club and Range. I cold called previous and existing customers to garner greater sales, and was recognized as a top salesman of club memberships. Because of this, I was promoted to a Team Lead position, where I developed leadership skills by training other people to achieve the same sales proficiency.Next, I took a sales position with AAA. As an ethical professional in an industry where people often feel taken advantage of, it was my responsibility to offer solutions that would return their vehicles to working order. Here, I was recognized as a customer service leader by being one of the top salesmen with the most battery sales and consecutive, positive customer service surveys. While here, and of my own volition, I was trained in the Sandler Sales System to add to my growing list of skills and accolades and wanted to further my career. I acted as a self-starter, growing my book of business from scratch. In my first month, leadership recognized me as being the only salesman to have ever made a sale in their first month. A few months later, I was recognized as the first salesman in his first year to sell an industrial grade paint booth, which exceeded $103, 000. As a member of the Powder Coating Institute and Chemical Coaters Association International, I cold called in my territory for new business, as well as cultivated relationships with a growing list of clients that totalled 45 accounts. Towards the end of 2022, I was put in charge of a book of business worth $1 million.
