The Sankaty Head Caddie Program, operated since 1930, is one of the last remaining caddie programs in the world. The Caddie Program is located at the Sankaty Head Golf Club situated at the eastern end of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. Sankaty is listed as a "Top 100" Classic Course" by Golfweek Magazine.Supported by the Sankaty Head Foundation, the program is home each summer to 60 caddies and staff members. Caddies live in a structured, disciplined environment and spend part of each day caddying for members of the Sankaty Head Golf Club. caddies are paid for caddying and also have the opportunity to qualify for academic scholarships awarded annually by the Sankaty Head Foundation. The grounds are located between the 11th, 12th and 13th holes at the golf club.
