I'm part of a small team that helps towns and cities implement pre-approved building programs.

I consult with cities on urban development issues, especially housing. I co-created a new technique, called pattern zoning, to address the challenges many cities face when pursuing appropriate infill. Managed from concept to occupancy including syndication, entitlements, and team recruitment.Pattern zones in Bryan TX and Claremore OK - the first prototype pattern zones established pre-approval permitting systems for building types ranging from backyard cottages to walkup multifamily.Development feasibility studios - codesigned and then facilitated multi-day, all-hands feasibility studios with development teams for downtown housing concepts.

"The Incremental Development Alliance began in 2015 as a collaboration between small developers who found themselves overwhelmed by the number of people asking them the same question: how do I build a small building in the place I love? In order to share their mentorship and hard-won knowledge far and wide, the Alliance was created to structure a suite of classroom-based and hands-on coaching tools that could be scaled across the country for the benefit of municipal clients and developers alike."As faculty, I teach development fundamentals for small- and middle-scale real estate projects. I have led workshops in more than 20 cities with sponsors including municipalities, economic development agencies, neighborhood associations, and foundations. Cohorts are comprised of emerging developers, real estate sector professionals, and government officials. I also led major revisions to workshop curricula in 2018 and 2021 and facilitated policy impact analysis workplans for cities.

I represented historic, downtown, and central Fayetteville. I was elected four times on platforms advocating for climate, housing, and transportation solutions. I was active in introducing new legislation. UACDC is an urban design outreach program of the School of Architecture at the University of Arkansas. As a Development Associate, I conceptualized projects, pursued grants, developed community relationships, and explored business opportunities.- Wrote and won multiple urban design and planning grants from the funders like the National Endowment for the Arts, the Knight Foundation, and the Walton Family Foundation.- I advised and helped develop several transportation and land use scenario plans and an infrastructure-as-art exhibit.- I organized, recruited for, and hosted a Mayors Institute on City Design, a 3-day closed-door session with eight mayors and eight resource experts.- I facilitated multi-day feasibility workshops for two subsidized mixed-income projects for artists.- I co-hosted the region's first housing symposium bringing together cross-sector professionals.- I also developed and designed the website and migrated the firm portfolio.

I organized educational events around sustainability topics and advocated to state leaders for jobs programs anchored to energy efficiency improvements. I facilitated strategic sessions for grassroots teams, coordinated media campaigns, and implemented a fundraising strategy.

I deployed a new ERP and a complete overhaul of all workstations, networking equipment, and servers. I supported legacy inventory, accounting, and customer ordering systems.

-Led crews of 6-15 boy scouts and their adult leaders.-Week-long wilderness treks: backpacking and canoeing.-Received crews each week and completed onboarding.-Designed routes and itineraries to meet crew goals.-Designed menus according caloric needs.-Mentored other crew leaders in support of the broader program.-Taught skills and ethics according to merit badge methodology.
