Operations manager in charge of daily success of the Electrocoat department at PPG Oak Creek. Direct supervision of up to 12 hourly employees across three shifts. Oversaw the production, fulfillment, and shipment of over 700,000 gallons of material a month. Daily responsibilities included: organizing the production schedule across multiple operations for blending, filling, filtering, storage operations. Coordinating maintenance activities within the Electrocoat department. Managing small and large scale projects in an effort to improve cycle time.Personal milestones include:Improving distillate stripper cycle time and improving its efficiency by 30%.Overseeing the implementation of blending and filtration processes improvements that reduced cycle time by 50%.Handling the orientation and training for new employees and successfully qualifying individuals as full operators for the department.

Additional responsibility and in charge of the direct supervision of maintenance employees across three shifts. Areas of focus included the facilities fork truck fleet, general maintenance in the shipping, receiving, and administration buildings and over seeing the operations of the facilities power house/utilities building while also continuing the implementation and management of capital projects throughout the facility.

Responsible for the installation, implementation, and start up support for coatings and resin manufacturing equipment. Individual milestones include:Lead project engineer increasing capacity of resin storage by 25%, resulting in bulk material and labor cost savings of $300,000 a year.Lead project engineer implementing electrical, bulk storage, and ventilation upgrades at Mt, Vernon, IL facility.Management of over 1 million in capital projects every year since 2010.

Supplier quality engineer in charge of transmission, oil and coolent lines, as well as rubber components.Responsible for diagnosing and solving issues with suppliers and OEM manufacturing plants throughout the US.

Webmaster for the College of Engineering: International Programs department at Penn State University.This included maintainting the database and website for the department. Researching and contacting partnering universities for programs available to study abroad students and gathering information from current students regarding their experiences/desires with the department.Systems and codes used include, but are not limited to: Adobe, C++, SQL, Microsoft Office, HTML, CSS and Flash.

Mentored students and coordinated fund raising activities for Engineering Leadership class. Worked with teams of students to promote world relief causes and raise money for less fortunate individuals. Took over student organization, ESIO, as role of president and presided over expansion and increasing membership. Developed and enhanced club principles, promoted growth and created a strategic development plan for the future.
