Hand-picked to be the Lead Scrum Master for a newly formed project delivering the Veterans Administration (VA) Memorials Benefits Management System. Trusted to initially lead five Scrum teams while spearheading efforts to hire additional Scrum Masters. Integral in the development of project-level definition of done and ensuring efficiency and consistency in our approach to Scrum. Key member of leadership management team, providing key reportable metrics and acting as an escalation point for Scrum Masters and teams.

Worked with a Scrum team as part of the project supporting the Veterans Benefits Management System. Facilitated retrospectives and sprint plannings that were engaging and impactful to the team, ensuring that everyone left feeling motivated and with actionable takeaways. Worked closely with the product owner to define and split user stories. Ran the project-wide sprint review. Lead facilitator of the two-day Agile Fundamentals course for ICAgile and Booz Allen Hamilton.

Immediately contributed to the initial transition of ShapeUp to an Agile mindset and Scrum development process. Bridged the knowledge gap and communication between client services and technology teams by creating standards, workflows, and documentation processes. Worked with leadership to build and report on the organization’s technology roadmap. Lead five individual Scrum teams including mobile development, API, client services bugs and triage, rewards development, and new software development. Ran agile meetings with those teams, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily Scrum.

Promoted internally to start a new department, with no initial direction, to standardize and facilitate the implementation and onboarding of all incoming clients. Focusing on cost, performance, and schedule; guided each client through the new process while cross functionally managing design, inbound marketing, data, and product teams.

Maintained collaborative relationships with upwards of 50 business owners of successful Independent Insurance Agencies. Each client was a separate project that needed to be managed as they received the Astonish Software as a Service (SaaS) system, which included inbound marketing, a website, and data management. Worked with each agency owner on cultivating a better sales culture and provided management consulting in weekly meetings

Selected by the CEO to introduce and create a social media strategy for the prestigious JW Marriott account and increased brand awareness and internet sales activity.
