I am a graduate student, who has completed all course work to graduate in May with a master's degree in Biomedical Engineering. My motivation and drive to improve the lives of others has driven me to seek out a degree and a career where I believe I can improve the quality of people's lives. I am passionate about helping people to live healthier, happier lives and I hope to use my skills and education to do just that.Throughout my interdisciplinary studies, I have learned a wide variety of useful skills. I have experience programming in both Java and MATLAB, the latter of which was used in my successful master's thesis. For various programming projects, software were built, improved and debugged in order to deliver prototype program designs.In a variety of projects, I have worked to create experimental procedures and prototypes of design processes in a variety of areas. From computer-aided design of mechanical devices in PTC Creo, to biology lab projects in LabView, I have learned and worked with a wide variety of programs and used numerous laboratory techniques in coursework and projects.The wide scope of knowledge and variety of skills I have learned over the course of my studies, as well as my success in varied coursework, demonstrate my ability to quickly acquire a diverse range of skills. My passion for developing medical technology and helping to enhance healthcare quality, challenges me to learn new skills and seek positions that will allow me to achieve my goal of improving the standard of care for patients around the globe.
