• Responsible for securing more than $8M in total contributed income to date including six-figure and other major gifts ($25,000+) from institutional partners and individual donors• Solicit a portfolio of more than 130 current and potential funders through face-to-face cultivation, moves management stewardship, and strategic identification of new major gift prospects• Work collaboratively with senior leaders and board members—including directing the Florida Advisory Board—to devise cultivation plans and strengthen relations with major gift donors and prospects• Create new original content for unique funding opportuntities including capital improvement, teacher professional development, sustainability, and thought leadership• Prepare materials including proposals, gift acknowledgements, and project budgets, and conduct site visits with potential funders• Contribute to organization-wide strategic planning and development initiativies

• Manage the daily operations of the institutional giving portfolio, including the stewardship and solicitation of Corporate, Foundation, and Government partners• Support the Development Department in meeting its fiscal year fundraising goals by helping to secure more than $2.5 million in institutional giving per year• Support the Orchestra’s Comprehensive Campaign, which raised more than $35 million• Ensure effective solicitation through personal interaction and rapport building• Design and initiate an annual government engagement plan to improve visibility among elected officials • Assist in the formulation, preparation and updating of strategic planning documents

• Pivotal part of campaign team that raised $1.5 million towards Congressman’s reelection, and garnered largest margin of victory with 66% of vote • Coordinated fundraising events from conception to completion, including high profile guests such as Rep. Nancy Pelosi, Senator Tom Daschle, Ted Sorensen, Rep. John Murtha, and Senator Bill Bradley • Drafted fundraising letters, invitations, and campaign literature; design, print, and coordinate mailings• Cultivated personal relationships with new and existing donors, expand and maintain fundraising database through background and historical research• Generated reports on progress towards financial goals and forecast fundraising projections
