Oversaw the idling and demolition of an obsolete facility and the start-up of a new, start of the art commercial heat-treat company. Due to solid customer relationships, we were able to move 65% of the order book to other Bodycote locations before the facility closed. Our team installed a $4.5MM, fully automated low-pressure carburizing heat treat system. Sales for the new location went from zero to $3MM in the first year of operation.

Lake Zurich, Illinois

Began by overseeing the second and then third shift plant operations. Moved to overseeing all manufacturing operations over three shifts. Team implemented a visual shop management system, resulting in workflow prioritization and improved cross-team and functional communication. Able to increase throughput by 11% by decreasing material wait time.

Led a team of 250 across three facilities including operations, tooling design/build, maintenance, quality and plant EH&S with an annual budget expenditure of $15MM. Established and reviewed performance goals for each facility and direct reports. Consolidated new company acquisition into Lyon facilities within 60 days of purchase, eventually adding $20MM of topline revenue to organization.
