The Ability Experience (AbEx) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising funds and awareness for the Disability Community, as well as providing its volunteers with unique experiences and uncommon opportunities. With valued founded upon the ideals of Christian faith and Servant Leadership, AbEx hosts a variety of annual events to serve its mission.One of these events, the Journey of Hope, is an annual fundraiser that takes volunteers on a cycling journey across the country. After seven months of planning, training, and fundraising, volunteers from across the nation meet in San Francisco (North Route) and Seattle (TransAmerica Route) to begin two separate cycling expeditions across 70 days, eventually meeting in Washington D.C. Along the way, volunteers individually raise over $7000, visit close to six dozen Disability Resource Centers, and interact with unique communities across the U.S.I had the wonderful privilege of serving as a cyclist on the 2024 Transamerica Team. After cycling 4000 miles, individually fundraising $8K, and visiting 37 DRCs alongside a stellar team of servant leaders, my life, values, and perspective have been transformed for the better.

Quickie was a start-up company in San Luis Obispo, CA dedicated to delivering convenience store items to college students in under 10 minutes. I worked closely with Quickie’s administrators to facilitate speedy delivery of customer orders and establish a commercial location with over 25 employees.

While working for Quickie Delivery Co., I was primarily responsible for the regular upkeep and reconciliation of the books, and the procurement of financial models. Working closely with founder, William Tregenza, and various mentors from SLO’s Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, I produced capitalization tables, expansion analysis models, and a pro forma income statement. The presentation of these models to the team drove discussion and influenced decision making for the business.

Té Piña was a C-Corporation started by myself, and my business partner, Benjamin Arts. As a start-up beverage company geared towards crafting tasty health beverages from up-cycled ingredients, Té Piña took a sustainable, immunity-based approach to helping its customers maintain good health while going about their busy lives.Té Piña was recognized for its efforts at Cal Poly’s “Startup Launch Weekend” when it came in second place for the Investor Pitch Competition and received a grant for $650 in November of 2022. Riding the success from that competition, Té Piña pitched its mission and values to a panel of investors and business professionals in April, 2024. As a result, Té Piña was accepted into the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship’s 2023 Summer Accelerator Program: 13 weeks of mentorship with weekly pitch trainings, performance evaluations, and a $10K grant. As an entrepreneur at heart, Té Piña allowed me to explore the industry of startups, business, and sales while honing my time management, pitch presentation, and networking skills. I consider my experience with this project and its people to be an invaluable and unique privilege. The challenges and lessons provided by this opportunity will forever work to benefit my values, perspective on business, and professional life.

As Risk Management Chairmen of the Kappa Pi chapter of Pi Kappa Pi Fraternity at San Luis Obispo, CA, I acted as an advisor to the chapter’s executive board on manners concerning the safety and longevity of the Kappa Pi chapter and its members. Elected to this position in November of 2022, I organized safety procedures and managed event monitors for the chapter’s events and activities. This role was beautifully challenging as it presented my team a plethora of high-pressure situations to navigate and intense issues to overcome. My year-long term granted me newfound resilience and grey hairs, which I pridefully bear as marks of the strength and wisdom I gained.

Angelini's was one of my first jobs as a teenager entering the workforce, and it remains a place near and dear to my heart. Having worked in sell-side dairy showmanship at county fairs, fence construction, inventory management, lifeguarding, swim instructing, and in four different food service environments, I can easily claim that Angelini's provided the most enriching experience for my personal development.
