Responsibilities include identifying and scheduling meeting and event speakers, acquiring sponsors, increasing membership and working with the leadership team to ensure that the needs of the local SQL Server community are being addressed.

Part of the team working to provide the SQL Server User Community with top quality educational opportunities at the 2008 PASS Community Summit to be held from November 19-21, 2008 in Seattle, Washington.

Working with other volunteers and the program committee manager to select pre-cons, spotlight, and regular sessions for the PASS Summit.

ENTREPRISE DATA SOLUTIONS TEAM MANAGER AND TECHNICAL LEAD FOR A LEADING PROVIDER OF ONLINE TECHNOLOGY SOLUTIONS FOR MEDIA PUBLISHERS. Mr. Rigling functioned as the Enterprise Data Solutions team manager reporting to the VP of Application Development. In this role Mr. Rigling and his team were responsible for all aspects of database development, administration, implementing coding standards and code review practices and overall implementation of sql development and administration best practices. Mr. Rigling also worked with senior management to identify and prioritize development projects. Mr. Rigling was the technical lead on several application and database development projects and was responsible for the overall success of those projects. Currently Mr. Rigling is leading 3 projects; an enterprise wide migration to SQL 2005, a migration to SSRS 2005, and a major enterprise redesign of the clients databases.

TECHNICAL LEAD AND PRODUCTION DBA TEAM MEMBER FOR A DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT & FULFILLMENT COMPANYMr. Rigling functioned as a Technical Lead on multiple customer migrations for a Fortune 1000 Document Management and Fulfillment Company. The migrations moved the customer to a data strategy that includes both On-line Transaction Processing (OLTP) and Operational Data Store (ODS) databases. He was responsible for all technical aspects of the migration, including requirements gathering, migration planning, implementation and execution, data quality assurance (DQA), as well as testing and reporting. Mr. Rigling contributed to rewriting existing migration scripts to incorporate results of requirements gathering where the output was increased performance and increased data quality of migration. His leadership and initiative was a major contributor in the successful migration of the customer.

ETL DEVELOPER, U.S. AIR FORCE, AIR FORCE MATERIAL COMMAND (AFMC)Mr. Rigling was part of a five-member ETL team that participated in multiple ETL designs for the implementation of Air Force Financial and Logistical data into an existing data warehouse. This data warehouse was used to support critical business reporting needs for the U.S Air Force, U.S. Navy, Coast Guard and the Department of Defense. He defined functional specifications, participated in data quality analysis and the implementation of business rules and logic, and maintained source system data in the data warehouse. The technical environment consisted of Oracle, Informatica, Teradata and Business Objects.

SQL DBA AND BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DEVELOPER, FORTUNE 1000 STAFFING COMPANY FRANCHISEMr. Rigling was responsible for assisting developers with best practices in data architecture as well as assisting in the design and development of a scalable enterprise database server infrastructure. This included identifying data sources, creating data diagrams, providing data-flow diagrams, and process documentation. Additionally, Mr. Rigling wrote all code for database access, modifications, and stored procedures.Mr. Rigling also worked with senior management to identify, refine and implement new reporting requirements. Mr. Rigling created over 100 reports that covered all aspects of the business to include; workers compensation, general ledger \ accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, FUTA, SUTA, billing, applicant tracking, and vendor management and business metrics.

ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER AND CORPORAL, UNITED STATES MARINE CORPSAs an Assistant Project Manager, Mr. Rigling worked with government contractors and civilian vendors for the implementation of a paperless message distribution system, for the Department of Defense. Mr. Rigling was involved in all aspects of the implementation and was responsible for managing the implementation of Gate Guard (GG), Message Routing System (MRS), and Message Dissemination Software (MDS) solutions within the Camp Kinser Telecommunications Center. Mr. Rigling was meritoriously promoted twice and received several awards and medals for his honorable service during his enlistment.
