About Matthew W. Rollie, Mph
I am currently assisting Goldbelt Security on expanding their presence in the CBRN market. As an Alaskan Native 8(a) company, we are always seeking potential partners who can leverage our contract vehicles, which offer up to $100M per task order. I am specifically interested in collaborating with companies that are seeking contracting opportunities with the DoD, CDC, DoS, and other letter agencies involved in CBRN equipment, conventional weapons systems, BSL-3 and BSL-4 construction, and CBRN training. Concurrent to these activities I assist companies with RFPs, RFAs, SBIRs, and BAA responses.Prior to joining Goldbelt as a 1099 I supported state health departments in their COVID-19 response efforts. At the DC Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Administration, I managed the PHEP Crisis Co-Ag and Workforce Development grants. My responsibilities included reporting in the CDC RedCap system, preparing progress and financial reports, and developing a near real-time financial tracking system integrated into business systems.Previously, I worked at the Virginia Department of Health, where I contributed to the Joint Information Center and participated in Commonwealth-wide activities related to preK-12 COVID-19 screening and return-to-school initiatives. I actively engaged with disenfranchised communities and the GenZ demographic to address vaccine inequities. My career began in infectious disease and biothreat preparedness when I co-founded the University of South Florida Center for Biological Defense under a DoD contract focused on public health preparedness against biological threats. During my tenure, the contract exceeded $50M and centered around research, education, and surveillance of Category A agents and emerging infectious diseases. I have been actively involved in emergency management teams and infectious disease workgroups both domestically and internationally, including the 2001 anthrax mailings. I have extensive experience in writing grants and federal contracts, managing projects from pre-award to post-award. My formal training in Global Health and neglected tropical diseases led me to establish the USF Global Health Infectious Disease Research Program in 2007. Additionally, I possess technical expertise in BSL-2, BSL-3, vivaria, and insectary laboratory design, construction, outfitting, and commissioning. In March 2020, I co-founded BioPrep LLC, a company dedicated to assisting businesses in safely reopening, protecting them from COVID-19, and ensuring their continuity.
