As a passionate student in the Sustainable Environmental Management program, I engage in the study of natural resources management while developing strategies for creating more equitable and sustainable systems. My studies focus on problem-solving, innovation, and holistic approaches, integrating environmental science, technology, and policy. I enjoy exploring crucial topics such as low-carbon energy transition, environmental policy and governance, ecological economics, climate change mitigation, urban ecology, and wildlife conservation. This comprehensive program equips me to contribute to sustainable and just transitions in various communities.Through the program, I had the opportunity to take part in the course Conservation and Development for Social-Environmental Sustainability and Wellbeing at the Las Nubes EcoCampus in Costa Rica. It focused on building transferrable skills in critical thinking, communication, leadership, and project management. These skills empowered me to address environmental challenges effectively across government, private, and not-for-profit sectors in Canada and internationally, contributing to a sustainable future.
