Mr. Shultz is an Information Security Specialist holding: GCIA, GCIH, GRID, CISSP, and CRISC certifications. He performs research in various areas of cyber security, in both IT and OT/SCADA environments providing recommendations and position papers to aid senior leadership decision making as well as guidance and recommendations to organizations on reduction of cyber risk through the use of best practices.Mr. Shultz has supported both technical and management roles in industry over the past 23 years, 13 as a Project and Senior Project Manager, managing teams and projects for various federal customers. Projects included: help desk support, security operations center (SOC), knowledge management, IT Governance, and IT Infrastructure programs (NOC). Mr. Shultz holds both the PMP and ITILv3 certifications.Over the past 23 years, Mr. Shultz has incrementally developed from a technical engineer performing component level repair of PCBs to close support for software, to managing people and programs, to cyber security. His career has latticed to round out development building critical skillsets. Mr. Shultz served his community as a volunteer firefighter and Battalion Chief for 20 years, and holds the National Fire Academy Executive Fire Officer (EFO) certification. Mr. Shultz has held the following roles: firefighter/EMT, HAZMAT Technician, Captain, Assistant Fire Chief, Fire Chief, and Battalion Chief. Additionally, he was previously a member of both the Loudoun County Fire Council, and Vice Chair of the Loudoun County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).
