After a career dedicated to the Fire & Security sector, from apprentice through to Managing Director, I have an unsurpassed understanding of the realities of working in a fast growing innovative and competitive market place.From early beginnings an an apprentice working for a Leeds company installing domestic burglar alarms and electrical lighting alongside studying for electrical qualifications, to later progressing to a large national fire & security provider as a service engineer, I was fortunate to work with an exceptional team of talented engineers, and an exceptional leader who inspired me to push myself and move into the management side of the business.It wasn't until I moved into management in the Fire & Security sector that I finally got to look after my staff and customers my way and was able to foster relationships that I knew would see customers receiving the very best quality work and advice as well as being able to give my staff the support and nurturing they needed to thrive. My ethos paid off and over the coming years I saw my branches double their turnover and become a huge success.As the national sector started to merge and consolidate, I seized the opportunity to move into working with SMEs for a dynamic & fast growing national organisation. It was through the vast amount of experience gained from having to deal personally with human resources, health and safety and fleet management that I was soon appointed Operations Director.In 2012, with a huge amount of hands-on & business management experience under my belt, I took the next step and launched my own company - Synergy Fire Engineering Limited. Being able to build a company based on my principals of always ensuring my customers get the very best professional and personal service has resulted in a well established and well-respected organisation, which I am proud to own.Synergy Fire Engineering is the only company in Derbyshire accredited by British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE).
