I arrived to VIDA in February 2014 after a successful tenure in healthcare as a pediatric registered nurse and board certified hospital executive. I have helped to lead many hospital divisions to national rankings for satisfaction, quality, and financial performance. My vision is to merge the fitness and healthcare industries by establishing a referral pathway with hospitals, family physicians, and general practitioners in prescribing exercise as medicine promoting health and wellness for individuals and communities.

Riley Hospital is where I grew and was groomed into a strategic, visionary, and transformational nurse executive. My first position was as a manager of a small short stay unit which quickly grew to the oversight of two units which equated to 34 beds of direct management of staff, patients, and quality. I became known as a manager the could improve staff satisfaction equating to higher patient satisfaction scores and was moved around to manage different units needing assistance. I was then promoted to Assistant Clinical Director with direct and indirect oversight of four units equating to 60 beds and 119 FTEs while directly managing two of the units. While in this position I was able to assist on the teams to build a new bed tower from design thru construction. Evaluation and creation of care models and how to manage a team was also tackled for this project under my direction.
