I am a JD/MBA legal and marketing professional with a financial, fundraising and business development background in enterprise and educational settings and highly self-motivated, always prepared to take on greater responsibilities and seek challenging new opportunities. Legal skills include excellent research and writing experience, as well as the capacity to handle a large case load efficiently. Relationship management and business development experience includes sales and all aspects of running a small business, from creating budgets, balance sheets and financial reports to being able to handle any new developments that may arise while working well under pressure. Currently, I have been serving in an In-house counsel role within the Member Services department of Attorneys’ Liability and Assurance Society (ALAS), a legal malpractice insurance company, where I assist in all aspects of our underwriting process. I am also proud to serve my community as an elected Schaumburg Township Treasurer, as well as an Adjunct Professor at Dominican University, where I teach both Business Law and Career Development. Previously, I worked for a large law firm in their Finance department. I handled both billing and collection issues between clients and attorneys. I successfully coached attorneys on their billing and appeal language to decrease billing rejection and increase the success of our appeals.I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Philosophy. In addition, I have an MBA from Dominican University and my JD from the John Marshall Law School (now UIC Law).
