Chief Executive Officer
CurrentStrawn has served as the chief executive officer of the Iowa Lottery since 2019. He has P&L responsibility for a 100+ person statewide workforce and enterprise with annual revenues approaching $500 million. Additional responsibilities include developing and executing strategic plan for maximizing revenue and net income of lottery sales; proactively managing enterprise risk; identifying new product distribution channels; and, directing diverse stakeholder relationships (including policymakers, board members, corporate partners, customers, civic organizations, trade associations, beneficiary groups, and suppliers).Performance includes delivering record-setting growth in lottery sales and net income; modernizing statewide customer and retailer-facing technologies; implementing socially conscious and comprehensive responsible gaming initiatives; leading enterprise-wide organizational restructuring; and developing an entrepreneurial and data-driven decision-making culture.
