I work as a subcontractor for the DOD doing web application development. I work on Benefits Web Enrollment (BWE), the DOD employee-facing website for signing up for medical and dental benefits, and Defense Online Enrollment System (DOES), the contractor-facing website for managing the employee benefits. The back-end is Oracle-based (database and WebLogic). The middleware is Java-based. The front-end was at first JavaScript with AngularJS, Bootstrap, and JQuery. We later transitioned to TypeScript with Angular 6 and Angular Material. We use Eclipse and Visual Studio Code. To do this work, I completed the DOD background check and received IT-II Public Trust Security Clearance.
