Matthew is a serial entrepreneur, former management consultant at Mastercard, and a life-long builder.He started his first company at the age of 10, an eBay re-selling business for Legos, Pokemon cards, and other collectibles. Upon arriving at UC Berkeley, he noticed a lack of clubs related to the startup ecosystem, so he launched Berkeley Venture Capital and served as its first president. Today, the club has seen hundreds of alumni and runs a $5M VC fund, the largest fund on campus.Next, he built Arcbay, a recruiting firm that connected UC Berkeley affiliated startup founders with top engineering, marketing, and sales talent. This business was fully bootstrapped and hit over $200k in profit while he was still a student at UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business.After graduating, Matthew began working at Mastercard as a management consultant, where he helped F500 businesses make revenue-maximizing strategy changes through A/B testing. Collectively, these tests drove millions in strategic value for his clients.In August 2023, Matthew left his job at Mastercard to pursue startups full-time. Initially, he was working solo on a host of B2C and B2B projects, some of which saw success and others that failed.
