Overseeing day to day production of CNC lathes, mills, drill press, and grinders. Working with efficiency displays to view and increase equipment's OEE. Lead and instruct employees through character driven principles via the Character First system (Strata). Continually training to learn new and important LEAN principles to increase employees performance & satisfaction with their jobs, as well as to increase my own managerial effectiveness.Essential Job Functions: Attending/conducting change over, startup and production meetings.Compile all reports and information for meetings. Coaching and mentoring machine shop leads.Work with Quality Department to verify and resolve issues. Coordinate with Manufacturing Training group to request, schedule, and document new training for employees. Assigning all machine shop duties. Manage employee relations, including attendance and disciplinary concerns.Monitor all Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), tracking machine efficiency. Work with Tool and Die, Programming, Material Handling, and Maintenance to handle issues. Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources. Participate in proactive teams to achieve departmental and company goals. Perform other duties as assigned. Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
