The HMIS-HIT Committee worked within the Gravity Project to identify use cases and data elements where staff at Housing and Homeless organizations may need to access patient medical information and where clinicians may need to access information about a patient's housing status, including the harmonization of the US Housing and Urban Development's (HUD).

The Gravity Project convenes a collaborative process to accomplish the following goals for the social domains of food security, housing stability and quality, and transportation access:-Develop use cases to support documentation for screening, diagnosis, treatment/intervention, and planning activities within EHR and related systems;-Identify common data.
