As an airport intern, I have been fortunate to actively contribute to a variety of airfield operation and maintenance projects. Throughout my internship, I have participated in tasks such as weed abatement, painting, signage placement, surface repairs, and FOD (Foreign Object Debris) control. I am also involved with daily runway and security checks, ensuring the safety and efficiency of airport operations.Interacting with airfield tenants is another rewarding aspect of my internship. This allows me to develop valuable communication skills and gain a deeper understanding of their needs and concerns. Beyond the hands-on involvement, I also have the responsibility of conducting administrative tasks. This includes contributing to the smooth functioning of the airport and providing crucial feedback on both ongoing and future airport projects.

I assisted with FAA Part 107 training classes for various county employees and school education programs. Conducted hands-on flight training for students using multiple instruction methods to enable proficient UAS pilot skills. During flight training I actively monitored for safety concerns as well as facilitate setup and teardown of flight stations along with all related training materials. During my internship I also conducted research for a company building and implementing a new UAS system. Research consisted of pilot-habit building techniques along with implementing company safety initiatives. Other topics included preflight and risk assessment documentation for the companies experimental UAS allowing them to get further testing approval from the FAA.
