As a head cashier I managed the daily front end operations. I trained new employees how to run a cash register, customer service, and returns. I also helped employees and customers solve any issues they were having. In my time running the front end I was in charge of the credit and extended protection programs making sure employees knew the policies and how they worked. I also would keep records and file reports that pertained to each program. I have been with Lowe's along time and have had several positions within the company. I started out as a loader which was basically just helping customer load heavy items into their vehicles and getting carts from outside. Next I became a cashier which involved ring up customers, doing returns, answering the phones, and answering customers questions. I then moved to receiving where I had to scan in merchandise that needed to be received and filed away the paper work. Next I became an Install Sales Coordinator. In that position I had to call customers and explain the install sales progress. I had to use the computer and filing system to keep track of the process made during the install and of course, solve any issues the customer was having. I also had to pay the installers after the job had been completed to the customers satisfaction. After that I moved to my current position as head cashier.
