Responsible for QA on our catalog of metal oxide and metal nanopowders, primarily through x-ray fluorescence, x-ray diffraction, and BET surface area analyses. Following analysis of raw data, worked with engineering team to improve product consistency, specifications, and chemical properties for a variety of research and commercial clients including the DOE, DOD, NIST, Millipore-Sigma, and other companies and entities both within the U.S. and abroad.Additionally responsible for the development and synthesis of a diverse set of organo-metallic precursors for use in nanopowder production, requiring ultra high purity precision as high as >99.98% in batch sizes of between 1 and nearly 200L.Beyond analytical and synthetic duties, I managed the analytical laboratory space -- ensuring accurate inventory and availability of essential precursors, solvents, equipment and supplies, and maintaining a clean, organized space designed to most efficiently bring our products from the production stage to final shipment.

Assisted in a breeding program concerning bound and soluble antioxidant concentrations in several corn (Zea Mays) hybrids and inbreds. Duties included phenolic compound extraction/quantification, protocol research and design, field maintenance and sampling, and training of additional assisting undergraduates.
