As a member of the IT Leadership team, works directly with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Chief Digital Officer (CDO), and other senior leaders of the university to lead and direct information technologies at the university. Leads teams of subject matter experts in the areas of Information Security, Identity and Directory Management, ERP Access Control, and Campus Services IT. Previously also led Network Operations until January 2023.Establishes and implements information security governance structure, strategies, priorities, and directives to protect confidentiality, integrity and availability consistent with the vision of the university. Develops and implements information security in accordance with organizational information security standards and best practices. Oversees the evaluation of information risk on a regular time schedule and promotes information security awareness across the university. Defines enterprise policies, develops secure technology architecture, and oversees implementation of controls and monitoring of performance. Oversees incident response, investigations, network monitoring, and regulatory compliance. Manages information security relationships and product selection to provide services and capabilities for cyber protection of university assets. Oversees operation, strategy, and security of the university’s wired and wireless networks as well as telephony. Manages identity management across the institution as well as all integrations with the university’s identity provider.Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for each sub-function and develops budgets, policies, and procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Leads overall departmental budget planning and management, including multi-year expense projections, employee lifecycle management with succession planning.

Teach face-to-face and distance learning classes to graduate and undergraduate students in various subject matter related to the field of Information Technology, specializing in Information Security and Assurance.

Support the university by maintaining the Asset Management System for university which include:- Manage all facets of the Surplus Equipment and Central Storage Departments- Assist the Executive Director with assuring that the financial data for capital assets recorded in the official University Financial Statement is correct and posted in a timely manner (in excess of $2.3 billion)- Perform physical audits of all UC moveable capital assets (8k+ assets)- Assure that all assets, capital and non-capital, (in excess of 60,000 assets) are accurately reflected in the Asset Accounting module in SAP- Assist university departments with inquiries regarding creating, changing, and deleting asset master records. Assist with asset transactions including purchase requisitions, P-Card transactions and invoices related to assets. Assist with completing web forms to document asset acquisitions / dispositions.- Design and maintain Asset Management’s website (Asset Management, Surplus Equipment and Central Storage)- Assist in regression testing of SAP software releases to ensure the integrity of the Asset Accounting module in UC Flex- Provide recommendations and updates to Asset Management policies and procedures

Support the university with all forms of printing, duplicating, copying, and finishing needs.
