As the IT Director for the Orange Public Schools, I'm responsible for maintaining maximum up-time for various types of technology to support staff and teaching and learning.In addition to this I am responsible for creating and managing a fiscally responsible technology budget of over $500,000 as well as a 5-year Technology plan.My first focus is to have a solid network infrastructure between four separate locations using fiber and core switches to support the districts diverse technology. This technology includes extensive use of internet, VoIP Phones, Security Cameras and Badge Readers as well as many web-based applications such as Microsoft Office365 and Google Enterprise Apps. Secondly, I implemented a single sign-on dashboard for most of the applications used by staff and students to automatically authenticate into web-based applications. This greatly reduced support tickets in our help-desk and increased teaching and learning for, both, teachers and students.Another focus was to have an easy to use help-desk supported by knowledgeable and approachable Technology staff. My staff work hard and are motivated to be crossed trained, disciplined in documenting support tickets as well as being proficient in providing a solution quickly. In addition, I do my best to provide opportunities for my staff to grow their skills with professional development and outside training.Lastly, the Orange Public Schools provides me with immense opportunity to gain knowledge and achieve growth in my professional career. I'm currently on my third year with the Orange Board of Education and continue to see technology evolving and bring a bigger role in the daily operations than the last.

The job entails working directly for the Director of Technology, Superintendent of Schools as well as the Board of Education in providing Information Technology (IT) support to staff, students and parents within the East Haven School District.As a senior, I meet goals and timelines, set forth by the IT director. Goals are met by using my many years of experiences in the IT field. I have proved myself as an "out of the box" thinker and a team leader.

As a Corporal in the United States Marine Corp I was charged with managing forty (40) + Marines in various duties throughout my time served. During my start of the Marines Corp I traveled to various locations such as South Carolina, North Carolina, Okinawa Japan, Seoul South Korea, Hiroshima and Washington, D.C.While in Washington D.C., I worked with an elite team of Marines directly supporting the Commandant of the Marine Corp, General Charles C.Krulak and the President of the United States William Jefferson Clinton.After my four (4) years served on "Active duty" in 1997, I continued to serve four (4) more years on "inactive reserve" status in Connecticut.
