Design has always been a huge part of my life, I've gained experience throughout my career in Car Design, Illustration, Graphic Design, Data Visualisation, Branding, Web Design and UX/UI design. You might describe me as a jack of all trades, and this experience across the design disciplines has given me a broad range of skills, which means I feel very comfortable being taken out of my comfort zone and I love learning new skills and testing myself.I have always been able to design with the end user in mind. In fact, it was at university that I learned about Dieter Rams and his principles of function over form when designing for Braun. However, over the last couple of years, I have taken a step into a leadership role at my current company, which has helped me learn how also to think commercially.I also worked for a Market Research company called Kantar where I learned a lot about data and helped visualise this data for many clients. During my time here I realised how powerful consumer data is and how it can be used to find solutions to people's problems.I thrive in close collaboration with product and development teams and feel comfortable communicating solutions to leadership and executive teams. This is important when thinking about overall product strategy but also being able to take complex requirements and aspirations and simplify them into a cohesive and inspiring product vision.In my current role, I've gained valuable experience in creating and maintaining scalable Design Systems that have significantly enhanced our team's efficiency. These systems have streamlined our workflow, enabling us to deliver pixel-perfect, development-ready designs at a much faster pace. In this role, I've also had the rewarding opportunity to mentor and develop multiple junior designers on my team, a responsibility that I have thoroughly enjoyed and found incredibly fulfilling.
