Inspiring Skills Excellence in Wales is a Welsh Government funded initiative, managed by Coleg Sir Gar / Coleg Ceredigion. The project is supported by a dedicated network of colleges, work-based learning providers and employer-led organisations, focuses on enabling greater participation in Skills Competitions by widening the knowledge and expertise across the education and training sector.The role involves managing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project outputs are delivered to a high standard, ensuring a collaborative approach to its development and delivery, in partnership with education and industry.

As part of the Futures Team supporting entrepreneurship, employability, skills and Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). The role involves coordinating and supporting learners with enterprise skills necessary for successful employment and career development. In addition, ensuring that learners’ employability and enterprise skills are recognised by participation in internal and external skills competitions.

Asked to support due to staff absence. Delivered a number of units on qualifications between levels 1 & 3, which included Fitness Testing & Programming, Components of Fitness, and Business in Sport.

Managing employer relationships as part of the ESF Upskilling@Work project. Engaging with local employers to build and maintain relationships, with the aim to increase the number of people accessing the Business & International Services Department’s suite of qualifications. Helping local businesses thrive as a result, improving their standards and prospects.

Managed a team of Sports Development Officers and coaches who deliver Physical Education and sport through a variety of services and projects. PlaySports work with schools and communities throughout South Wales, providing challenging and engaging activities in order to keep people physically active and improve their sporting experiences.

Provided sports coaching, activities and games to children at a variety of childcare settings within South East Wales.

Opening and closing the premises; money handling; dealing with stock and stock orders; cleaning; greeting and serving customers. The role required me to work with other bar members as well as working individually in a well-established, communal setting.

Meeting and greeting customers; money handling; computer work (accessing club memberships); opening and closing the gym; planning and implementing training programmes; providing support when required on fitness and nutrition; gym inductions; applying health and safety precautions and procedures.I was able to use my knowledge and experiences of physical activity and training to give regular advice to members, developing excellent communication skills.
