Winter - I started as a resort rep in Obergurgl in the west of the Tirol in Austria during the winter 2012/13 season. During my season I developed well as a rep and picked the job up very quickly. By the end of the season I often saw myself topping sales and customer service leagues within the team and region. I was faced with many different challenges, which I dealt with in a very mature way. Due to Obergurgl being such a high end resort it brought with it a very particular customer base, which lead to perfection being the only option and this is a value I have now adopted into all aspects of my work.Summer - Coming straight off the back of a winter season I was asked to return for the summer season. I found myself with new exciting challenges. Throughout the training week I proved myself to be one of the stronger reps. This put me in a brilliant situation and lead to the decision to place me in the tricky resort of Kitzbühel and being promoted to supervisor, completing the necessary training that the post required while doing the job . I had to look at the team as a whole, analysed everyone’s strengths and using this information to make sure we work together to meet our targets for both sales and service.

A job I had from the age of 16 which helped me financially through sixth form and university. I learned many skills in this job, it was my introduction to the professional world. While there I worked on many different departments teaching me to be flexible and work independently, as well as fitting into new teams quickly. During this job my ability to manage my time had to be excellent to allow me to work and carry out my studies simultaneously. I had to learn to communicate well both with my fellow colleagues who were a range of ages and from different social and racial backgrounds. My customer service skills had to be impeccable as we had mystery shoppers on a regular basis and my results always came out at 100%. During the later years of my ASDA career I took on a pseudo supervisory role which taught me to set my own personal targets to work towards and also begin to look at making sure the team was hitting target too.
