Actively managing a team of automation engineers, web/database developers, and data scientists (using Azure Machine Learning) to help Encore achieve better operational efficiencies.

Perform onsite troubleshooting, installation, design, and solution recommendations of Rockwell Automation industrial automation controls with an expertise in Rockwell Software, SQL, and VB.NET.

Worked as a chemical engineer on a number of projects for Solae at their global headquarters in St. Louis, MO. Projects include:• Part of a team of 5 engineers on a filter optimization project for the Louisville plant that increased production capacity of the plant 50-100% by optimization drum filter performance.• Developed a statistical model using visual basic that uses historical process data from manufacturing facilities to predict final product parameters. • Performed a steam balance on a pilot plant and analyzed the economic feasibility of collecting and recycling spent steam and condensate.• Designed and performed experiments to model kinetic and equilibrium relationships between crushed soy beans and ethanol.• Designed P&ID and process control scheme for pilot plant scale ceramic membrane filtration unit.

Worked part-time as a contractor developing a database driven website to work as a blend calculator for Mid-Continental Chemical Company (MCC). Responsibilities include•Obtaining site requirements from MCC•Designing database and page layouts for website•Sub-contracting HTML, PHP, and Javascript programming of site layout•Developing equations relating base oils and additives to predict technical properties of mixtures

Supported modernization of nuclear weapons projects in the materials sciences/polymers division. Designed and created an HMI and PLC logic that automated a batch chemical production process. Served as department representative on the Fact Based Quality (FBQ) initiative committee to decide which Statistical Process Control (SPC) software package the plant should adopt. Performed a decomposition study on a polymer.

Tested, created, and analyzed (FTIR, viscosity, flash) fuel and lubricity additives. Created and maintained a referential database of chemicals’ compositions, MSDS, test results, and FTIR spectra.

Awarded the Honor’s Discovery fellowship grant and the Engineering Undergraduate Research Stipend to do research with batteries. Researched, designed, and constructed multiple battery models with the goal to find new materials that will increase capacity and efficiency while reducing costs. Performed titrations and extracted materials from discarded cells. Designed experiments to quantify the amount of lead electroplated on a piece of carbon.

Worked full time as an operator on the motor line in the Fairfax assembly plant. Filled in for vacationing line operators. Operated multiple types of specialized machinery for engine production.
