Matthew has had over 15 years of experience in the global financial markets and over 25 year’s experience working within a global corporate environment across Australia, Asia Pacific and Global geographies. Matthew has gained exposure in Corporate Governance (Boards & Sub-Committees), Contracts, Due Diligence and Corporate Business Operations both globally and locally, across the Banking, Finance and Insurance, Resource / Energy, Airlines and Government sectors.Matthew is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. With a keen interest and passion for corporate governance roles.Matthew has graduated with a Master’s Degree in Management, a Post Graduate Diploma in Technology Management, and a Masters Certificate in Project Management. Matthew has a Diploma in Stockbroking and Financial Planning, is also RG146 compliant in SMSF, General Insurance, Credit, Derivatives, Securities and Funds Management. Matthew is a member of the Stockbrokers Association of Australia (since 2005).Matthew gained significant corporate exposure with IBM both domestically and across Asia Pacific in Business Process Outsourcing, Operations and Project Management, within corporate and government. Matthew as director and co-founder formed a securities and derivatives firm in 2005; launching service offerings in international markets for clients across Australia, United States, Europe and Asia Pacific in both wholesale managed accounts & securities products. In 2007 Matthew launched a funds management firm, creating a Hedge Fund, based out of Chicago, USA. In 2008 Matthew joined Alpha Fund Managers as Business / Portfolio Manager for eight, asset class, multi-manager funds. Concurrently holding the positions of Head of Research & Investments for a Licensee with over $3.2B FUA and 25,000+ retail clients. Also holding roles as Chairperson of Investment Committee, Member Risk & Compliance, AFSL Responsible Manager & various Directorships.
