Programming and accounting background enabled multiple projects which were beyond original scope of visual reporting initiatives in Toronto office, including implementation of dashboard to track Canadian Operation's workloads and provide updates to supervisors every five minutes, automated cost analysis of hundreds of invoice items for supplier management team and an internal award-winning technical resource reporting framework which enabled management to monitor allocations of high-skilled resources on a weekly basis.

As a member of the Toronto Tactical team in Citco's P&L department, employed my expertise with technology and understanding of financial concepts to created strategic solutions that saved the organization time in manual work through software automation, reduced the risk of calculation errors, and created analytic reports that identified informational trends and variances. Worked with various departments including Fund Accounting and Investor Relations to deploy global tools that managed corporate actions, trade confirmations and FATCA auditing. Recognized in Q4 of 2012 with Citco's Motivating And Recognizing Success (MARS) award for performance beyond expectations.

Working at Microsoft's Canadian headquarters in the organization's Enterprise Services team, I was responsible for overseeing the business aspects of all Canadian Premier enterprise support agreements in Canada in order to provide quality customer service and diligent analysis of support agreements with our clients. Utilizing my talents in Excel and software development, I created brand new revenue and accrual reports and tools for the Canadian Operations team that were used by the Finance department in monthly reporting and adapted existing processes into automated tools which provided faster, more insightful accounts receivable, expense and performance reporting for the department.

In my role at Sybase, I was responsible for administering the relationship between order operations, sales and customers with contract disputes in order to provide timely communication to all parties and help with the dispute resolution process. Seeing a need for greater process efficiency, I spearheaded projects such as the automation of the company's lengthy order form creation process and provided stakeholders with a faster process which mitigated manual errors which were previously a common issue.

Working within the Quality Risk Management team, I was the lead on the annual pensioner survey where I identified nearly $200,000 in overpayments to families of the plan's pensioners. Through the upkeep of an internal database, I oversaw the analysis of T10(PAR) tax statements and maximum pensionable earnings (YMPE) records to ensure proper measures were taken in processing these forms. I also represented the pension plan daily on inbound calls from those included in the pensioner survey by providing the highest level of professional client care, and built rapport with inquiring members in order to successfully complete the survey ahead of the year end schedule.

Through raising a total of $1,053,000 over a four-year period, I became the third individual in the University of Waterloo's history to secure over $1,000,000 in financial gifts for the University of Waterloo and played an instrumental role in providing the university with the funds that were required for the building of a new School of Accounting building on campus. I was promoted to Team Leader in 2005 and assisted the Annual Giving supervisors in interviewing and hiring new fundraisers, as well as training and mentoring new staff members. I brought in additional 15% of the annual fund’s total revenue through pledge follow-up efforts and personally spear-headed project to create over 25 new scholarships worth over $100,000 through a short-term named scholarship program.

As part of the Legislative Page Programme for the fall of 1996, I was responsible for participating in an official role during meeting of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario delivering messages on behalf of MPPs and Officers of the House. The experience provided me the opportunity to meet with three current and future Premiers the Pages, gain invaluable experience on how laws are made and how the province of Ontario is governed.
