I am a researcher at the National Institute of Public Health and the Environment (RIVM), at the centre for Safety of Substances and Products (VSP). I am also a PhD candidate at the Institute for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Dynamics (IBED), University of Amsterdam. Within my work and PhD I focus on the development and improvement of methods to account for mixtures of substances in environmental risk assessment. This is primarily done within the RIVM strategic programme project ToxDown. I also work on the development of methods to account for mixtures in emission permits, and in drinking water. Previously, at RIVM I have also worked on environmental risks associated with wind turbines and solar panels.During by MSc thesis I worked on hazard assessments of complex microplastic mixtures for benthic invertebrates.
