Developing and improving a product line of high quality solutions to clean water bodies from floating debris.

Snap Solutions is specialised in the materialising phase of product development. The approach in product development is holistic and pragmatic. There is a strong background in production techniques and good understanding of stakeholders and supply chain. Snap Solutions expertise is to designs new to market products preferably with environmental benefits.

In collaboration with @sparkdesign, I've lead the design of a new type of river barrier that has been aiming to work more stable and reliable while decreasing cost per meter significantly. The result is a rotation moulded float from recycled material. This float is combined with a special developed rubber screen which decreased cost and use of material while enhancing overall strength.

In April 2017 I've joined The Ocean Cleanup to model a superstructure for the first Interceptor prototype. After completion we formed a development-team and re-designed the Interceptor from scratch. The result of this effort was presented by Boyan at a spectacular product launch on October 26th 2019. At that moment both installed Interceptors had already been catching plastic. My role in team is to improve the Interceptor continuously, to enable a scale-up as fast as possible. The aim is to stop as much plastic as possible from flowing into our seas and oceans.

My role in the BD team of Dopper has been to identify suitable suppliers and manufacturers for the Dopper tap and collaborate with design partner FLEX/Design to work towards the desired detail design.

Design and construction of a multifunctional sports surface. The surface combines two seamless interconnecting sports surfaces. When the sports field is not in use the third side can be used for solar energy collection. Our team designed and constructed the sports surface from idea into the first 100m2 pilot multifunctional sports surface which has been build in Eindhoven.

Designing the enclosure and framing of a solar air-conditioning chiller based on absorption technology.

Design and development of Medirol medicine dispenser with "smart reminder card" integration. The dispenser stores customized prepackaged medicine blisters. These packages are made for 4 intake moments per day. The removable smart reminder card remembers users to take there medication. The design included an add-on injection molded tool to open the blister packages.

Development of a solar powered television for the rural Cambodian market. Kamworks develops solar products for rural areas of developing countries. The company is successful with the product Moonlight, a multifunctional solar lantern that is developed as a simple to use product with the rural Cambodian user in mind.Our team used the same philosophy to develop a television on Solar energy. Because of the complexity of the product and the small size of Kamworks, we proposed and prototyped a solution based on existing hardware and retail infrastructure, in collaboration with a large Cambodian television provider.

Preparing and assisting in Electronics workshops for BSc students. Within this job I taught students the basic knowledge about electronics. The workshop involved programming with Arduino hardware and software and some basic electronic components like OP-Amps, diodes, actuators and displays.

At Amac I gave sales advice and provided service for Apple products and third part accessories. I also provided starters seminars for MacOS and iOS and other Apple software.

Designing new sustainable and innovative clock concepts as a graduation project for the Bachelor of Engineering. The assignment deliverables consisted of 3 clock models, two with main focus on sustainability (in materials and transport). The other concept had a high-end and innovative market focus, the hands of this clock are floating. The proposal also also included the control system and prototype of this clock.

Internship Industrial design at Twosons Audio Malaysia. The internship was focussed on design stage layout, stage props, graphic design & photography. Besides the company experience the internship provided understanding for Asian cultures and a unique insight in the malaysian event business.
