Over the last 7 years I have actively developed the offshore wind business for the Carbon Trust. This included creating the Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA), a collaborative R&D programme comprising of 9 international developers, which has become Europe’s largest collaborative R&D initiative. I also set up a range of other large scale industry programmes, including the floating wind initiative. Over the last three years I have expanded the consultancy business of the Carbon Trust in to new markets by establishing offshore wind business opportunities in Japan, Taiwan and the US. I also developed the maritime decarbonisation business within the Carbon Trust.

The National Offshore Wind Research and Development Consortium (Consortium) is a nationally focused, independent, not-for-profit organization funded by the United States Department of Energy (DOE), the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), and led by key offshore wind industry stakeholders and research institutions. The Consortium is dedicated to managing industry-focused research and development of offshore wind to maximize economic benefits for the U.S.In June 2018, DOE competitively selected the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA) as administrator of the consortium. NYSERDA has committed to matching DOE funds, resulting in a $41 million R&D consortium. In January 2019, six new members joined the Consortium, including state agencies of Maryland, Massachusetts, and Virginia.

RenewableUK, represents the wind energy industry in the UK. My responsibilities included:- Accountability for all issues affecting the deployment of onshore wind energy developments. - Consult, liaise, lobby and negotiate with all levels of Government across the full spectrum of political parties and a range of departments for an expanded commitment to renewables - Engaged with a range of organisations to establish coalitions with opinion formers including politicians, media, business, stakeholders- Acted as lead spokesperson to a range of audiences, making presentations at key events and conferences, representing industry in ministerial briefings and meetings

ICOMIA, the International Council of Marine Industry Associations, represents the recreational marine industry worldwide. Its members, in 27 countries, comprise of National Marine Industry Associations as well as recreational craft engine manufacturers.As technical manager an example of my task are as follows:• Monitor all regulations affecting the industry worldwide and evaluate the possible impact for manufacturers.• Representation of industry on technical related issues at international authorities such as EU, USEPA, ISO and IMO. • Convenor of two ISO Working Groups.• Organize and manage the work of several international and European industry committees.
