I teach 7th grade pre-algebra/algebra and life science at a diverse and progressive private school. I utilize projects, experiential learning, and a student-focused class structure to help create a love of learning that will last beyond their middle-school experience. The curriculum is both rigorous and innovative.

I prepare students for the SAT/ACT/ISEE, as well as tutor all subjects (especially math) and provide executive functioning support for grades 5-12.

I taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2. I utilized multiple modalities in teaching these several levels of math to my diverse student body. I incorporated numerous technological programs, hands-on learning with manipulatives, and interactive projects to maintain a high level of motivation and enthusiasm. These techniques, along with an organized and proactive approach, gave my students the structure necessary to progress through the general curriculum with confidence and efficiency. Also, as head of the math department, I created and implemented new curriculum for geometry and trigonometry as the school expanded.

I tutored math for multiple tests, including the SAT and was also the site coordinator for an after school program.
