Matthieu is Notary, established at Ittre (Walloon Brabant, Belgium), since June 30th, 2009, specialist in Patrimonial Family Law and Real Estate Law, including all civil, tax & environmental aspects.He is lecturer at the University of Brussels (Université libre de Bruxelles - ULB), teaching the Organization, business ethics and accounting of the Notary’s practice and the seminar of Notary’s practice in Real Estate & Patrimonial Family Law. In this university, he is secretary of the LLM in Notarial Law.He is also associate professor at the University of Liège (ULiège), holding the Chair of Notarial Law: Business Ethics & Real Estate Practice, teaching the Organization, business ethics, notarial deed & accounting and the Notarial practice of Real Estate Contracts.He is editor of the Belgian & International Journal of Estate Planning (Revue de planification patrimoniale belge et internationale – Larcier publ.).Matthieu is the author of several publications in the areas of civil, tax & administrative law. He is member of the editorial committee of the Practice Journal of Real Estate Law (Jurim pratique, revue pratique de l’immobilier – Larcier publ.) and associate to the Revue du notariat belge.
