ACTIVITIESAs an industrial designer and founder, I am the personal contactman at Studio Vogels. Since I like to think for my clients, my activities can cover the entire product development process: from market strategy to concept development and from CAD engineering to the final making of prototypes and products. In this way I visually map starting points for new products, make sketches to develop concepts, do CAD engineering, make photo-realistic visualizations, do strength calculations and have prototypes made for testing and verification. Studio Vogels specializes in idea generation, concept design, materializing, engineering and detailing for production.

For XS Platforms I have worked as a design engineer. My activities were developing and realizing fall protection products, such as mobile scaffolds and fall protection products to be used on high roofs. I gained a lot of experience in designing, constructing and physically testing of prototypes, FEM calculations and cooperating with local and Chinese suppliers.

Sprout design is a design studio specialized in sustainable product design and development, sprouted from my final thesis at the Design Academy Eindhoven. Inspired by the cradle-to-cradle philosophy, I have developed new ways of rethinking waste materials, that can be a great resource for new products.

For Arbin Care Products I've worked as an industrial design engineer on two products: a crutch and a mobile walking aid (rollator). The mobile walking aid was designed from scratch and developed including engineering and the making of numerous prototypes. For the crutch I did a part of the design and engineering, including the realization and introduction on the market. I this way I am also responsible for the design of the manual and packaging.

Cologne Area, Germany

I did my graduation project about sustainable furniture at Econcept Cologne, a leading design agency on sustainable product development. Based on a smart concept, where sheet material is milled and sent flat to the customer as a DIY construction kit, I have designed a number of concepts for furniture. The best concept was engineered in 3D CAD and built as a 1:1 prototype. This product has been designed with focus on long term usage: an ageless appeal and use of exclusive materials that can be recycled by the end of its life time.
