My current position at Movetech UK (BRITISH TURNTABLE CO LIMITED) is Marketing Coordinator. It is a very enjoyable role, working alongside great colleagues in a friendly and sociable environment - doing what I love doing best - design and marketing!Within my role, I use my many years of marketing and graphic design knowledge to undertake the design and maintenance of all the company websites. These websites include the main Movetech UK website - designed, developed and maintained by myself, with content created by myself and the sales and technical teams. Additionally, I develop and maintain company micro sites - these are specific product based websites marketed and focused on certain industries.I also develop and maintain Movetech UK's online e-commerce shop. I created the online shop a few years ago when I noticed a trend in online sales increasing, and by creating the site and adding a wide range of new products, which has helped to increase Movetech UK's online sales. I continue to constantly monitor, update and develop the online shop, and all company websites, to keep them informative, up-to-date, useful and secure. Planning, designing and reviewing company marketing literature is also something I undertake within my role. This includes product datasheets, manuals, instructions, flyers, leaflets, brochures, business cards, stationary, online/magazine adverts, event stand design backdrops and signage - and everything in-between.I maintain, update and create content for all of Movetech UK's social media profiles, including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, Flickr and Instagram. Additional tasks include writing company news stories, email marketing, sales materials, statistical and analytical reports, spreadsheets, database management, and video editing.

I worked as a playworker for many years, this was a very enjoyable and rewarding position. It included organising, planning and facilitating play activities for children, from toddlers to teenagers, with a wide range of abilities.As a playworker, it didn't always feel like 'work' as we didn't just enable play by creating and joining in with fun and educational activities, we also helped to equip children with the skills and resources they needed to facilitate their own play - this was extremely rewarding and also beneficial in helping me personally to become a stronger minded person.My playworker role included many different jobs and tasks, but my favourite was definitely the arts and crafts side of things. I started off voluntarily at a large local managed play area, strangely enough where I visited as a child on a regular basis myself. I continued and progressed until I was given a great opportunity to become a flexible part time paid member of the team.I engaged with many different people in this role, including parents and children from all walks of life, from many different background. I gained a great deal of skills working as a playworker, in addition to the fun and educational activities, I gained a number of skills including customer care, team building, safeguarding and health & safety awareness.This role involved me working in a range of different locations throughout the Wigan borough including managed play areas, large scale event play days, and within planned Sure Start activity sessions.I also learnt offering someone a friendly face, a smile, and a chat, can definitely go a long way!
