Chef du Project for the implementation of the development of the initiative “SALEF - SècuritèAlimentaire et Empowerment des Femmes dans la Règion de Mopti”, with the Non Governative Organization ENGIM. The assignement is focused on the oversight of project’s developement, monitoring the achievement of expect results. Main duties are related to the management of administrative and operational tasks, including planning, monitoring and coordination with local collaborators and headquarters in Italy.The nature of the project SALEF is a direct consequence of the instability of the whole Sahel region, particularly concerned on the difficulties which Mali is currently facing as a result of the rebellion of 2013. The region of Mopti, second to Timboctou, is the most affected by the crisis, followed by theoccupation of the three northern regions of Mali, becoming a land of emigration and immigration at the same time. It is under way a process of return of internal and external displaced, a migration which will put further pressure on a region already weak and destabilized, which is currently unable to provide services to support the upcoming demand, especially food-related.The SALEF intervention has been conceived to answer a need of food security for people, focusing on women, children, internal displaced and refugees returned. Working on multilevel goals to enhance economic indipendence, promoting associative activities, creating working communities, promoting access to water and sanitation through the diffusion of a culture of soil and resource management, including the organization and promotion of vocational training on each of those topics.
