Led and trained two 45-75 man combat-ready Marine Infantry units as first line supervisor. Conducted operational planning for more than 150 combat operations in Afghanistan, resulting in a robust intelligence package, reduced enemy operations, and 30 trained local national police. In second unit, developed and executed a robust year long training plan with performance standards and milestones, resulting in a certified combat ready airborne recovery capacity for the battalion. Received two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medals for combat leadership and superior training and leadership of the battalion's mortar platoon.
