I supervise, plan, coordinate and direct a team within the business service area to maintain a smooth and efficient function in line with departmental and National Grid requirements.Key Accountabilities• Supervise a culturally diverse workforce through coaching, counseling and engagement to ensure tasks are carried in accordance to end to end process• Monitor and record performance of allocated staff including issues relating to sickness, discipline and poor standards of work and ensure timely delivery of feedback.• Support and Execute on PEX initiatives across Customer Delivery to execute on opportunities for improvement.• Build a climate to ensure enablement and engagement providing motivation, participation and opportunities for employee initiative• Accountable for delivery of actions assigned thru Project teams, 3C’s or other Continuous improvement initiatives.• Monitor all Service Level targets and Key Performance Indicators to ensure compliance.• Building and Strengthening the team environment, setting expectations to improve work performance and ensure representatives are complying with standards set for the by regulatory bodies.• Oversee the operational workload of an allocated team within Customer Delivery ensuring allocated staff is fully utilized to deliver against agreed program of work.• Promote and implement procedural best practice to ensure all working practices (and where relevant, health and safety standards) are compliant with National Grid policies and regulatory requirements.• Uses sound judgment to think and act commercially when making decisions that impact productivity and cost. I work with all levels of the Gas Enablement team to help to facilitate, lead and coordinate the development of standardized and simplified business processes within the gas business which will see to replace legacy IT systems with modern technology solutions to drive the performance of how we serve our customers.Project Management: Participate in supporting the PMO team to ensure the governance of the program workflow consistently meets its target, budget and expected deliverables. Technology Development: Assist in preparing field trials for new technologies by monitoring and documenting benefits, risks and cost of the new technology. Process Improvement: Provide support in gathering critical data for analysis and risk assessment in building and creating “future state” conditions for the gas business. Participate in workshops and field trials to assess and document changes.Change Management: Contribute to the roll out plans to ensure successful implementation of the new process and technologies simultaneously ensuring the proper documentation are created as future resource and material.
