Click that "...see more" button and let's get started.------I use LinkedIn primarily for promoting things in work life that we do that are cool and tracking people that are important to me and seeing how their careers and lives are going. WORK HISTORYI have spent both my professional and personal lives in some way, shape or form making my community and world a better place for all. I started out serving in small country churches and mental health orgs in Southwest Missouri with youth who needed it the most. Over time, I transitioned into nonprofit work and spent several years with the YMCA, where I was involved in managing multiple projects, programs and multiple staff. I am proud of much of what we got done in my time there in policies, practices, STEAM programming and ultimately impacting thousands of lives.Currently working in the parks and recreation field and continuing to emphasize making the community better and finding ways to be creative in the programs and events that we do. It's a great time to be in Shawnee, as we master plan and vision for our "next" as a community and organization. Throughout the last few years been able to be a part of some amazing transformational efforts.I've also recently gotten into furniture restoration and working for friends, so it has been awesome to learn a new trade and be a part of an entrepreneurial effort... it's great exercise, too!THE FUTUREOk, so I'm not a career-minded person... kind of funny to put on a LinkedIn profile, right?! 🤪 I *am* focused on living out my mission/vision/values and "loving the process" versus some major end job goal or climbing a ladder. I will do what it takes to provide for my wife and kids that also allows me to be present with them.I am always open to discussing opportunities, brainstorming new ways of doing things, or teaming up to be superheroes for the community... Let's make the world better together.VALUESUltimately, whatever I am doing, I truly believe my God-given calls in life are to Be Creative Always, Help Change the World, Be a Part of Something Great and finally, Be The Mann in the Arena.
