Overseeing product security and software applications sold to customers across the education industry, I lead a team responsible for application security, risk management, privacy and compliance. Operating in a DevOps environment, I ensure rapid response to issues and serve as security subject matter expert (SME). I initiated a Security Champions program to in-source security across other teams rather than hire additional staff. I conducted product evaluations to determine which product to purchase, representing a standardized way of grading and evaluating security tooling to determine the most capable and cost effective product choice. I am accountable for Infosec guidance on privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA compliance.● Designed an SLA policy and quarterly cadence to improve reporting capabilities to leadership.● Formalized risk appetite and acceptance process to include business stakeholder involvement.● Organized and achieved substantially faster completion rate for penetration testing projects.

Oversaw the majority of penetration testing conducted over eight years, driving collaboration with stakeholders across the entire University. Worked with senior leaders during each project, leveraging extensive technical and project management skills. Trained and developed multiple engineers, ensuring team availability and advanced skillsets.

Engaged as the primary and sometimes sole engineer for FAA web application penetration testing, including management of customer engagement. Acted as the lead penetration tester for the FAA’s 11 lines of business. Conducted extensive team training and development.
