Perfect Harmony Variable Frequency Drives.Work with customers, contractors, and other equipment vendors to commission VFDs and interfacing systems. Verify the proper installation of medium voltage power connections and customer wired input and output power connections. Confirm the proper installation of factory installed equipment and options against factory provided drawings. Establish communications between VFDs and interfacing PLC control equipment using various communications formats. Test VFDs to ensure proper operation of all power electronics. Test motors with the drive including rotational checks, and motor operational stator and bearing temperatures. Tune the drive for proper feedback, analog input and output spans, as well as fault/alarm setpoints. Verify proper operation of VFD programming IAW the customer's specs. Inspect cooling system and ensure proper operation of external heat exchangers on water cooled drives. Perform preventative maintenance. Verify the system programs and parameters are operating as intended. Record the fault, historic and event logs. Review logs for recurring problems and any changes that have been made. Inspect VFD electrical and mechanical connections for proper torque settings. Clean VFDs to remove dust, dirt, debris. Restore and operate VFDs to ensure proper function. Troubleshoot and repair VFD malfunctions, leaks and ventilation system problems. Repair control and feedback malfunctions. Repair power electronic and MV malfunctions as well as water cooled VFD leaks. Train customers on operation, maintenance, and safety of VFDs. Advise customers on proper application of VFDs. Advise sales on customer needs.

Provide resolution to problems of moderately complex scope at the well site where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Operate and maintain LWD/MWD surface systems and down-hole tools at rig site. Interpret down-hole data and communicate with directional drillers, company men and geologists. Exercise judgment to determine the appropriate action at the well site by relying upon hands on experience and classroom based training of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Recognize the operational status of field equipment at the well site and maintain it when appropriate. Execute other related duties as assigned. Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values.

North Slope

Manage workflow and daily activities. Instrumentation controls installation and maintenance. Commissioning, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PLCs, instruments, and electro/mechanical equipment for Coiled Tubing, Fracturing, and Pumping services. Install and maintain electronic over hydraulic and pneumatic controls. Repair ICoil coiled tubing tools. Perform installations and calibrations on pressure, temperature, rate, density, weight, and flow meter sensory equipment. Setup and maintained data acquisition computers and networking systems. Operate electrical test equipment and gauges to ensure systems are reliable. Interpret electrical schematics and diagrams. Make fiber-optic terminations on various pieces of equipment. Program, maintain and repair Motorola radios. Install and program SCADA units to monitor the camp mechanical systems. Additional duties include: Radiation Security Officer, enforcing regulations set forth by the NRC. Site Security Officer, enforcing information security over the company’s network and computer systems. Member of the audit and investigations team.
